Admission to the school is open to all basing solely on the availability of seats and the merit of candidates.
1. For fresh admission a birth certificate should accompany the application.
2. Candidates to all the classes must pass an entrance examination.
3. Transfer certificates must be produced by all the candidates who have previously attended any school.
4. The principal reserves the right to refuse any application without having to assign reasons for his action.
THE MONTFORT SCHOOL formerly known as Public School, Dhenkanal, was started by Sri S. R. Vala, the then Collector as Chairman and Sri P. K. Tripathy as Secretary in 1969. On 4th July 1976, the management of the school was handed over to the Catholic Diocese of Sambalpur.
